Drght.

TEOPAI is highly based on a single drone synthesizer sound, that’s both disturbing and yet pretty calm.

And yeah…

BTW, it’s not an anagram.

Or it is now, I guess.

Not need to fill in.

Why should I?

No need.

Nope.

Tension.

Hear ye, hear ye! The day of reckoning is at hand. The calendar told me that schools open their wretched doors once more.

How dare they hold young folks as captives and give them information & feed them for free!

I myself never disliked schools (or work) opening up again. For me, autumn has always been the beginning of a new year, time to shed your skin, rise from the ashes and so on.

Autumn is the new spring!

Spring. SHIVERS.

That’s a pretty big if.

If “The Fellowship of the Ring” (2001) would’ve been a musical, Gandalf’s (Sean Connery) line in the Moria crossroads might’ve been:

– I have no memory of this song.

Then the young hobbitses (Danny DeVito and Joe Pesci) would’ve performed a song to express their happineses for the upcoming elevenses.

During the musical scene, at first Gandalf would be grumpy, but in the end of the merry song, he’d join the rest of the gang, dancing like a drunken gold prospector & laughing & casting magic missiles for fun.

Like Gandie there, I have no memory of ENDLING, but I have the proof that it exists.

Abbr. part IY.

For years I’ve been wondering, what’s this term EDM?

Yes, I’ve always known that it stands for “electronic dance music”, but where did it come from? It felt like suddenly the term was everywhere, and all the music out there was now called EDM.

Apparently the term “was being pushed by the American music industry and music press in an effort to rebrand American rave culture.”

A-ha, that explains it.

“Rebranding”. What an awful word. Even more disgusting than “constipation” or “pop quiz”.

Or “branding”. Shivers.

Ok, that FYI. Now EDM: TT.

Hands of lightning required.

I don’t know what the heck was I thinking with this one. Or wait, I do know.

I wondered, how would a normal acoustic piano sound like played through a nasty distortion box?

I did get my answer. It sounds pretty neat!

So, there’s some solo piano heavy metal for you! Or extremely archaic 20th century electronic music. Or nightmarish modern classical music by an european composer, who suffers from a migraine and has a dog.

Or you choice, where you get to choose 3 toppings freely. 4th one costs extra. Five? No.

As my dear friend Roger said on 29 August 1970: WODER.

You’re libra, right?

TOO TIC is thin.

Is tick too thin?

(Ticks are scary buggers. 40 times scarier than a pack of manticores. Do not google!)

Thin ones flex good.

Flexing makes you be able to bend 2.

(Too thin = Do not = 40 time scarier than google.)

Tic manticores. Good-bend.

Flex too able.

Listening with ears & mind.

Ok so, I just listened ON THE TRACES OF RAPTURE and had this funny feeling… Which is really hard to explain, but I shall try.

I somehow heard very clearly all the influences that I’ve had when composing and producing the tune. Some of those I already knew, they were essentially the idea behind the track, before I started to assemble it.

Some associations really took me by surprise. And for some… Like I know this part or thingy or whatever reminds me of something, but I can’t quite put my finger on what.

Anyway, by clicking the song title, you shall hear some moviesque epic orchestral stuff, that has influences from:

– That short passage from Knightmare II: The Maze of Galious.
– Fair amount of Morricone.
– Counterpoint in some Queen song, can’t remember which one.
– Synthesizer that sounds like breathing, it’s from… I don’t know, man.
– More quiet passage near the end from… I can’t tell… Or is it from everything ever made…

Shout-out to introspection.

Escape from the campfire.

Sometimes is enjoy making weird music, which (almost) sole purpose is to be weird. THRASHEADS is one of those tunes.

It starts off with some industrial machine sounds that, along with the pretty discreet beat, slowly start to make sense.

That sense is pretty, pretty senseless but hey…

…hey, it’s one of the recurring themes in this site: Keeping balance.

After last weeks nice & neat guitar oriented music, I thought we could use some nasty burping and beeping.

Working title: Strump.

Now we’re actually getting for the summer holiday type of stuff!

OAK SONG is a jolly good strumming (hence the title) kind of folk song, with no lyrics and considerable amount of country & western elements.

On the other hand, there’s very little urban & eastern influences.

Weird.

Suitable for campfires, in case you have a spare saxophone player in the tool shed.

Semi.

Fun little coincidence here:

– 3.33 is the duration ROCK THEY BONES plays when you press the play button with your eyes closed.

– It also happened to be the 333th tune I’ve produced under the very famous kongano brand.

That’s pretty good considering that this site started with 50 individual pieces of music!

– Oh yeah, 333 is also halfway to 666! Let’s see if we can make it that far.
