Bananas. They’re great, aren’t they?

They look fun, they are compact, consuming them require to tools and I believe they are among the most popular fruits on earth!

The taste is also great, but the texture of a banana, that’s a more complicated matter.

More raw bananas have great texture. It’s pretty solid, it feels like proper food in your mouth. But the taste of these greenish buggers, well, it can be less than wonderful.

Very ripe bananas on the other hand, taste always the best, but their texture may often be too smushy.

In my experience, the time window when bananas are just perfect is no longer than, let’s say 36 hours. This makes buying & eating bananas a very scientific process. You gotta plan your eatings well ahead and never buy more than a couple of days worth at the time.

Funfact of the day: If do remove the letter “b” from the word “bananas”, you get “ananas”. Weird, huh?

The Yamaha DX7 was one of the most popular synthesizers of the ’80s. I guess it’s safe to say so without sounding like an ad, because they stopped manufacturing these things in 1989.

“Day off from loneliness” is the kind of a tune, that’s really hard to describe. Therefore, what I’m doing here, is telling you what it is not.

It’s not very melodic and it has no beat, it just floats there. It moves around so slowly, that one might not even notice it. It doesn’t belong in any specific style. Other than maybe some sub-genre of new age music.

So, maybe it’s “new age muzak for your daily relaxational needs”?

Some time ago there was a morning I had serious problems with my musical ignition. I just couldn’t make the decision of what to do.

Should I go orchestral, acoustic, guitar-stuff or electronic? What genre shall I conquer next? How do I feel right now?

I knew I wanted to make something from scratch. I have a cubic metre of A4s filled with musical notes, but I didn’t feel browsing through them.

Then I took out the trash. Literally.

On my way back in, I stopped to watch some house sparrows. Funny little guys. Hopping there, looking for food.

Eureka!

LE MOINEAU A LA BOUFFE was composed and recorded basically in one (long) sitting. Living is easy when you know exactly what to do.

HYPE builds up slow. When you expect it to explode into your consciousness, it disappears for a brief moment only to come back almost instantly.

Then it really starts to build up slowly.

Hype promises a lot and when you start to get impatient it doubles down the promises, and keeps you hooked.

When Hype finally reveals its hand, you realise the awful truth: Hype is the dealer in game where it makes up all the rules, and where it is always the only winner.

Hype is a big jerk.
